1. What the service is for

Appnaly is an analytics service that helps app developers and operators see and understand the Google Analytics data for several apps in one place. Working from the Analytics data you connect yourself, it may provide the following.

• One dashboard across several apps
• Seeing who is using an app now
• How usage changes over time
• New users against returning ones
• Retention and cohort analysis
• Event and screen usage analysis
• Core feature flows and funnels
• Aggregate figures by country and region
• Detecting an app’s state and its changes
• Explaining results in plain language

Exactly which features exist, and what they cover, may change as the service improves.

2. Accounts and sign-in

Some Appnaly features need a Google account to sign in. Use a Google account you are entitled to use. Keeping your account and sign-in details safe is your responsibility, and you must not use somebody else’s account without their permission.

3. Connecting Google Analytics

Using Google Analytics data is a separate, optional step from signing in. When you approve the connection, Appnaly reaches only the data within the scope you granted at Google — the read-only scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly. Appnaly does not use it to change or delete anything in your Analytics setup. Connect only accounts and properties you own or are entitled to manage.

4. Rights in your data

Connecting Google Analytics data to Appnaly does not transfer ownership of it. You, or whoever holds the rights to that data, keep them. You permit Appnaly to reach, process and analyse that data as far as providing the service requires. You can disconnect at any time.

5. Use that is not allowed

Use Appnaly lawfully and normally. The following are not allowed.

• Reaching another user’s account or data without permission
• Connecting Google Analytics data you have no right to
• Trying to get around authentication or security
• Interfering with the service or its servers
• Loading the service with abnormal automated requests
• Sending malicious code or harmful data
• Infringing intellectual property, ours or anyone else’s
• Breaking the law or Google’s service policies
• Anything else that could harm Appnaly or its other users

6. About the analysis

Appnaly’s analysis is built on data Google Analytics provides, and that data has characteristics of its own.

• Processing delay
• Differences between realtime and finished figures
• Privacy thresholds withholding figures
• Different ways of aggregating
• Too little data to reach a conclusion
• Temporary Google API errors or limits
• Google changing how it processes data, or its policies

So some figures in Appnaly may differ from the Google Analytics screen at a given moment. The states, explanations, detections and suggestions Appnaly produces are there to help you decide — they are not a guarantee of any particular download count, revenue, growth, retention or business result.

7. Availability

Appnaly works to be dependable but cannot promise the service is always available and free of error. Part or all of it may be unavailable for a time because of the following.

• Server or network failure
• Database or infrastructure failure
• Maintenance
• Google OAuth or Google Analytics API outages
• Google API quotas or usage limits
• External policy or API changes
• Urgent security measures
• Circumstances Appnaly cannot reasonably control

8. Changing or ending features

Appnaly may add, change or withdraw features for reasons including improvement, technical change, security, legal requirements or changes to Google APIs. Where a change materially affects you, it is announced on the website or inside the service as far as that is possible.

9. Restricting use

Appnaly may restrict use, or suspend or close an account, in the following cases.

• A serious breach of these terms
• Reaching someone else’s data without permission
• Threatening the security of the service or other users
• Deliberately overloading the service
• Breaking the law
• Seriously harming the running of the service

Where possible, you are told what is happening before use is restricted.

10. Ending it yourself

You can disconnect Google Analytics or stop using Appnaly at any time. You can also revoke the Google API access you granted Appnaly from your Google account settings. If you want your account deleted, ask through the service or the contact address.

11. Intellectual property

Rights in Appnaly’s software, design, interface, documentation, brand and the content Appnaly produces belong to Namslab or the rightful holder. These terms do not transfer those rights to you. Rights in the Google Analytics data you connect do not transfer to Appnaly.

12. Third-party services

Appnaly relies on third-party services including Google OAuth and the Google Analytics API. Their availability and behaviour depend on each provider’s policies and systems. Google’s own terms and policies may apply to your use of Google services.

13. Limits of liability

Appnaly works within reason to be accurate and dependable, but cannot guarantee that data from Google Analytics or other external services is perfectly accurate, complete or current. As far as the law allows, Appnaly is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the following.

• Failures of Google APIs or external infrastructure
• Analytics data being delayed or missing
• Google Analytics being configured incorrectly
• Losing access rights
• Business or operational decisions taken on Appnaly’s analysis alone
• Careless handling of your account or credentials
• External factors Appnaly cannot reasonably control

Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

14. Privacy

A separate Appnaly Privacy Policy governs how your personal information and Google Analytics data are handled. Please read it before using the service.

15. Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the service or the law changes. Significant changes are announced on the Appnaly website or inside the service, and take effect from the date stated.

16. Governing law and disputes

Except where mandatory rules say otherwise, these terms are read under the law of the Republic of Korea. If a dispute arises, the parties will first try to resolve it by discussion.
